Regulators in Hong Kong have given their preliminary approval of recent exchange-traded funds (ETFs) for Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).
Hong Kong-based funds say regulators have authorized spot BTC and ETH ETFs, in accordance with a brand new CNBC report.
In line with the report, Hong Kong’s securities regulators, the Securities and Futures Fee (SFC), have authorized three ETF suppliers to supply ETF merchandise: ChinaAMC, Harvest World, and Bosera Worldwide.
ChinaAMC is creating a spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF, with the digital property agency OSL Digital Securities because the crypto custodian.
The launch date for the ETF merchandise has but to be set.
Final week, reviews surfaced that Harvest Fund Administration was in line to get permission to launch a spot market BTC ETF whereas the SFC granted Harvest and China Asset Administration clearance to supply crypto administration providers on April 9, in accordance with the report.
